Irene married Kenneth John Pollnitz in Rosewater, South Australia on 24 September 1924.^[2] The following marriage notice was published in the South Australian newspaper, The Advertiser, on 15 November 1924:^[3]

POLLNITZ—MORITZ.—On the 24th September, at the Rosewater Methodist Church, by the Rev. D. J. Wellington, Kenneth John, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Pollnitz, Yatala, to Irene Muriel only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Moritz. Pennington. Present address—Helen street, Pennington.

Irene died in Pennington, South Australia on 15 May 1958 at the age of 58 years.^[4]
