Biography

In 1871, he married Harriet LEMERT. ^[1]

Together they were the parents of several children. They included:

1. Minerva B. MORRIS ^[2]
2. John Rolland MORRIS ^[3]

The family was living in Polk Township at the time of the 1880 US Census. ^[4]

James passed away at some point after the 1880 US Census and before his wife Harriet remarried in 1889. Three men named James MORRIS living in the area passed away in this span of time. Research continues.
