James Morrison was born about 1828 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.
James Morrison migrated from Scotland to Victoria.
James married Sybil Gain on 15th March 1850 in Glasgow. The young couple migrated to Victoria (Australia) about 1857, however, James passed away in 1858, aged 30 years. [1] Their children were:
- Catherine (c1852-1901), married Alfred Maides
- Mrs Robert Clark (-aft 1921)
- Eliza Gain Morrison (c1857-97), unmarried
