Biography

• Margaret was born circa 1525 in or near to Manchester but this is purely speculative.
• She may have been the eldest of the children of Edward MOSELEY and Margaret ELCOCK.
• She married William PRIESTLIE or PRIESTLY^[1] of London at the late age of 35 if her speculative birth date is accepted, circa 1560 and appeared to have only had male twins William and Robert although there may have been a third child a daughter called Marye.^[2]In the Will of her son William Prisly he requested...

"Item I do give to Mr Oswald Mosley and Francis Mosley his brother to distribute to the poor of the Manchester where I was brought up". These were the sons of Anthonie Moseley and he appointed his beloved kinsman, Sir Edward Mosley knight, overseer of his will.

• Margaret was mentioned in the Will of her brother Francis Moseley dated Nov 1568 as "my Sister Margaret wief to Priestlie tenne pounde"^[3]
• Margaret died in Manchester in 1588 and was buried in the Cathedral 17 Jul: buried Margaret widow of Willm Preislye^[4]
