Biography

Walter Monroe Mosley was born in in 1885. He was the son of Joab B. Mosley and Leah Catherine Bangle. He married Maud McMillan in 1905. They had three children. However, after Maud died in 1918, the children went to live with relatives. His son, Walter Harold Mosley (known as Harold) was raised by Walter's brother Arthur and his wife, Lillian. Walter later married Mae Elizabeth Colvin who had been married to a Mr. Dunlap and had several children. Walter and May had a son. Walter and Maud 's son Harold was a U.S. Naval hero who died during World War II. The U.S.S. Mosley was named for Harold. Walter passed away in 1958.
