Emma (Motley) Wells (bef. 1864 - 1936)

Biography

Emma was born in 1864^[1] in Haven Bank, Lincolnshire, England, and was baptised nearby in Wildmore. She was the daughter of Joseph Motley and his wife, Ann Burman.^[2] In 1871 the Motleys lived in Stallingborough, Lincolnshire, where Emma's father was a freeholder.^[3]

In 1892 Emma married John Wells in Coningsby, Lincolnshire.^[4][5] The family lived in Tattershall, where John was a farm worker.^[6][7]

Emma died in 1936 at the age of 72.^[8]
