Margaret Muir was born about 1809 in St Andrews, Fife, Scotland, United Kingdom.
Margaret (~29) married Joseph Bauld (30) (1808 - 1879) on 27 October 1838 in St Andrews and St Leonards, Fife[1]. The marriage was also recorded at Garvald, Haddingtonshire on 27 October 1839[2].
Their children were:
- William Alexander Bald (~1841 - 1900)
- Janet Carmichael (Bald) McGilp (1842 - 1886)
- Catherine Constable Bald (1843 - 1910)
- Margaret Muir Bald (1845 - )
- James Muir Bald (1847 - 1903)
- John Bald (1851 - 1933).
In the 1841 Scotland Census Margaret is said to be 30 years old and residing with her husband Joseph and young son William at West Hope in Garvald, Haddingtonshire[3].
In the 1851 Scotland Census Margaret was said to be aged 39 years and residing with her husband Joseph and 3 children, William, Margaret and Catherine at No 5 Duncanlaw, Yester, Haddingtonshire[4].
Margaret died on 11 November 1870 in Ringarooma, Tasmania, Australia aged 61 years[5].
