Benjamin "Benj" Mundell
Benjamin Mundell of rural route one, out of Frankfort, died early last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Otto R. Lewis. Mr. Mundell became choked at the supper table and was taken to the porch where he might breathe easier. Fresh air failed to bring relief, however, and death came suddenly.
County Coroner Kent was called and he held an inquest. Just what caused the choking could not be learned last night. The body was brought to the Weidner and Kent Funeral Home to be prepared for burial and it will remain there until funeral arrangements are completed.
Mr. Mundell was born April 30, 1853, one mile west of Antioch and his entire life was spent within nine miles of Frankfort. On September 10, 1882, he united in marriage with Mary L. Holmes.
Survivors include one son, Claude Mundell of Frankfort, and one daughter, Mrs. Otto Lewis, at whose home he died; two brothers, George Mundell of Antioch, and Elijah Mundell of Muscatine, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Priscilla Reagan of Frankfort and Mrs. Susie Rogers.
Mr. Mundell was a member of the Antioch Christian Church and the I.O.O.F. lodge.
