Biography
This profile is part of the Murray Name Study.
Eleanor was the second daughter of John Murray of Philiphaugh. When a child, she was saved from the flames of Hangingshaw Castle, on its accidentally catching fire, by being let down in a basket through a window.[1]
By her husband she had at least 8 children.
