Biography
John was born in 1649 at Tooting. He was the son of merchant John Musters and his first wife Ann Maynard.
In 1675 he married Millicent Mundy, daughter of Adrian Mundy of Quarne (Quarndon) in Derbyshire. They settled at Quarne and had 8 children:
- John Musters 1675 - 1680, died in infancy
- Mundy Musters b. 1676 m. 1707 Elizabeth Sherwyn (widow, a niece of London alderman Sir Charles Thorold).
- Thomas Musters 1677-1706
- Charles Musters 1678-1698, died at Constantinople
- Ann Musters b. 1680 m.1701 Thomas Twisden, eldest son of Sir Roger Twisden Bt of Bradborn in Kent, 4 children
- Millicent Musters 1681
- Francis Musters b. 1682 m. 1707 at Grays Inn Chapel Elizabeth Petre (Peeters?) of Southgate, Middlesex
- Elizabeth Musters May-Aug 1684, died in infancy
From 1680-1681 the family lived at Nottingham, after which they joined John's father at Colwick Hall, Nottinghamshire.
John passed away in 1685, predeceasing his father.
His widow, Millicent remarried to Dr Thomas Fuller, Rector of Hatfield, Herts. and had further children.
