Elizabeth was united in marriage to John upon his return from the Civil War on the 14th of Feb in the year of 1866. Elizabeth bore him two daughters before she succumbed to death from an abnormal growth.
Elizabeth was living with her family at 220 North Robinson Street in Galion, Ohio when the census was enumerated on the 8th of August 1860. She was 25 years old with stars still in her eyes for her husband. He was working for the railroad as a laborer at the age of 30. Both of their parents were from Germany. They were blessed with two daughters. Amilia was 4 and her sister, Mary was only 1 year old.
In just 10 short year, Elizabeth would lose her battle from a growth leaving her two daughters and loving husband. She may or may not have known that her sister would become the wife of her husband and be the step-mother to her children.
