Biography

Baldassare was born in 1844 to Antonino Napoli, a farmer, and Calogera Sortino ^[1]. In 1877 at age 33, he married the 30-year-old widow Anna Mauceri ^[2]. Their children have not yet been researched.

Baldassare was widowed 3 years after marrying, and he then married his wife Anna's younger sister Antonina in 1882 ^[3].

Baldassare was named for his paternal grandfather, Baldassare Napoli.
