Biography

Was she married to David Herr Hoover (1784-1832) about 1800, before McEndarfer? He died in 1832. Christian Emory Hoover was born 1804.

Barbara McEndarffer's 1854 Will references predeceased husband, William, and nominates son, Timothy McEndarffer as personal representative of the estate.

1840 she was the female aged 50-59, living with one female, aged 20-30 (Louisa), one female aged 15-20, one female aged 10-15 (Rachel), and 1 male aged 5-9 (Timothy) in Osnaburg Township, Stark County, Ohio. No adult male so she was widowed then? But it looks like husband, Wilhelm, lived with son, Israel in Dekalb County, Indiana then. Perhaps they were homesteading while younger members stayed in Ohio with mom?

1850 lived in Franklin Township, DeKalb County, Indiana, aged 64. Lived with Edward Rohobaugh, aged 23, unknown birth location, a farmer with $1,000 of land, his wife, Rachel, age 23, born in Ohio, and a Caroline Risely, aged 14, born in Ohio.

August 4, 1854 executed her last will. January 1, 1855 her last will was filed in the DeKalb County, Indiana Court.
