Helen Newbigging was born about June 30th, 1804 and baptised July 2nd, 1804 in Douglas, Lanark, Scotland to George Newbigging and Janet Greenshields.[1][2][3]
Kirk Session (local church court) records for Douglas record on April 4th, 1833 notes "Helen Newbigging and accused Ninian Yule of being the father the child, with which, she is pregnant." After several days of testimony over a span of months the court found "unanimously of opinion that it is extremely likely that he is guilty."[4]
She passed away on June 30th, 1875 in Douglas, Lanarkshire, Scotland.[5]
