Martha was born in 1851. She is the daughter of Edmund Newton and Anna Boyer.[1] She was christened on 10 Oct 1852 in Chelsea, Middlesex, England. At the time of her christening, the family was resident at Somlard Lane and Edmund’s occupation was butcher.[2]
