Biography
William was born in 1863. His family were coal miners in the Cornwall area of the U.K. He came to the US to mine gold. He arrived in 1890 through New York, where he married Elizabeth Rodda. They settled in Nevadaville, CO. where he mined until 1897 and 1899. Due to poor health, Thomas gave up mining and moved with his wife to Golden, CO. He worked in the heating plant at the university.
