He married Anne Olsdatter Omdalsstrand.[2]

He married Synnøve Gudmundsdatter Gisholt østre (daughter of Gudmund Olsen Gisholt østre and Karen Andersdatter Gisholt østre) on 27 December 1712 in Solum.[3][4]

He died in 1722 at Omdalsstrand, Melum.[1]

A probate was held on 19 March 1728 at Omdalsstrand, Melum after the deceased Christen Nielsen, who left the widow Sønnev Gunmundsdatter and the children of marriage to his first woman Anne Olsdatter:
