Biography

Boelem Willems Nieuwenhuis was born before 18 May 1800 in Bourtange, Groningen, Nederland[1], son of Willem Boelems Nieuwenhuis (<1767–1842) and Elsje Hindriks Bontkes (<1777–1843).

Boelem (28) and Jacoba Holtman (26) were married on 27 December 1828 in Vlagtwedde.[2] Jacoba was born on 18 March 1802 in Oude Pekela, Groningen. Their daughter was Trientje Nieuwenhuis (1835–1905).

Boelem died on 27 June 1873 in Ter Apel, Vlagtwedde, Groningen, aged about 73.[3]
