Biography

Berta (Nilsson) Christensen was aboard the RMS Titanic.

Bertha was born at Ransbysäter, Lysvik, Värmland, Sweden. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

Berta departed from Southampton on 10 April 1912. Recorded residence was Sweden. She was immigrating to the U.S. at the age of 18. She survived the disaster. ^{[4] [5]}

When Berta was 26, she married Hans Aron Christensen on 16 December 1920 in Kalispell, Flathead, Montana, USA. ^{[6] [7]}

The couple had 5 children: Leonard R Persson Christensen., Arthur C Christensen., Marian Bernice Christensen, Ruth Lorraine Christensen and Dorothy June Christensen.

In the 1930 census Berta (age 36) was living in Chicago, Cook, Illinois, USA. Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head: Wife. ^[8] They lived in Chicago for the 1940 census as well. ^[9]

Berta died at the age of 82 on 27 December 1976 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA and was buried in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, United States of America. ^[10]
