William Norrie Dies at Age 65
William Scott Norrie, 65, of 113 Overshore Dr. West, Madison, retired president of the John R. Hall Paper, Box Co., died Monday at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fort Meyers, Fla.
Born in Meriden, he lived in Berlin most of his life, before moving to Madison. He was a member of the Center Lodge AF & AM of Meriden, past veteran of the Meriden Chapter 8 Order of the Eastern Star, and past grand patron of General Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star of the State of Connecticut.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Adelaide Hall Norrie; a son, David K. Norrie of Winchester, N.H.; a daughter, Miss Janet E. Norrie of Madison and a brother, Thomas M. Norrie of Meriden.
The funeral was held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Swan Funeral Home, Boston Post Road, Madison, with the Rev. Franklin Bower, pastor of the First Congregational Church officiating. Burial was in West Cemetery, Madison.
