"The death of Albert W. Norris at the Placerville Sanatorium shortly after the noon hour onn Thursday. Though not unexpected was never the less a sad blow to his family and friends who hoped against hope that his life might be spared. Stricken by Bright's Disease a year ago, he was under treatment at the sanatorium for several months and improved sufficiently to return home. Recently, however, he suffered a relapse, and at a consultation among Drs. Reckers, Rantz and Wrenn a few days ago, it was decided that the case was hopeless and that death was not far off. Albert Norris was a native son, being born at Lotus, this county, and would have been forty-four years of age on the 31st of this month. He was married in Coloma to Miss Ella McKay and had lived there about ten years, where he had successfully followed fruit raising. Besides his heartbroken wife he leaves a father and a mother, Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Norris; a sister Mrs. Ralph Colwell; and William Stearns of Coloma, a cousin of the deceased. he was a past master of Acacia Lodge, No. 92 F & A M of Coloma and in his fraternal, social and business relations he was highly esteemed; and his death in thr prime of hid young manhood is a matter of universal sorrow and regret. The funeral services under Masonic auspices will be held in the church in Coloma, Sunday at 2 p.m. Rev. G. W. Beatty officiating. A delegation of Masons and Placerville Parlor No 9 N. S. G. W. with a mail quartette to assist in the religious services, will attend from this city. Interment will be made in the Coloma Cemetery."
