"Enrolled at...Kickapoo Training School, Horton, Kansas, as Iowa Indian to whom a trust patent was issued upon allotment No. 136 to following described tract of land located in Brown County...state of Kansas ... to wit: -

"N.E. 1/4 of N.W. 1/4 Sec 8 T 1 S R 18 East containing 40 acres this allotment has a good $600.00 house on it fair barn and other buildings on same about 30 acres in cultivation worth $35.00.

"James has following half brothers on his mothers side, Frank Dorian, - (104) - Elisha Dorian -(105) - James father died several years long before allotment.

"James attended school at the Iowa Indian Mission, for a number of years and then book a course at Haskell Institute, Lawrence Kans he has a good education is sober and industrious farms all his own allotment has a team, cow hogs, wagon and the necessary farm tools to run his allotment... 6-29-06"
