George Norton was born in about 1765, if the age in his death registration is accurate. Or in 1777-1779, if his age in the 1841 census is correct (he was 21 or older when he married in 1800, so had to be born in 1779 or earlier).
George married Elizabeth Butcher on 14 Apr 1800 in Hascombe, Surrey, by licence. Both were 21 or older, and neither had been married before. George was of the parish of Holy Trinity, Guildford, Surrey while Elizabeth was of Hascomb, Surrey. George was a lieutenant in the Royal Navy.
Their daughter Elizabeth was christened on 29 Oct 1802 at St Bartholomew's Church in Haslemere, Surrey. Her parents were named as Lieutenant George Norton and Elizabeth, and their address was given as Steep, Hants.[1]
Their daughter Ann was born in about 1807-1811.
Their children William and Mary were christened on 29 Nov 1814 at St Nicholas' Church in Guildford.[2][3]
By June 6th 1841, George was living in the parish of Holy Trinity in Guildford. His age was recorded as 60-64, and his occupation as Navy. Also in his household were Elizabeth and Annie Norton, both aged 30-34. Samuel Tugwell, Save Daws, Elizabeth Sopp and William Tugwell, all aged 24 or younger, were also in the household.
George died in April 1844 in Guildford, and was buried in Holy Trinity Churchyard. His age was recorded in the death registration as 79.

According to the 1841 census, neither George nor Elizabeth nor Annie was born in Surrey.
Annie married Frederick Deacon in 1842.[4] They had only one child whose birth was registered in England/Wales - Elizabeth Ann (birth registered last quarter 1846, Portsea district, christened 18 Nov 1846 in Portsmouth[5]).
There is a good match for Elizabeth Ann in the censuses of 1851[6] and 1861.[7] In the 1851 census she's with her father Frederick Deacon and his wife, however his wife is named Elizabeth, not Ann. I couldn't see a death registration for an Ann Deacon between 1847 and 1851, nor a remarriage for Frederick, so possibly Elizabeth - who was born in Kingsclere, Devonshire - is actually Ann. Also in the household is Elizabeth Jones, the widowed sister of Frederick and Elizabeth. She might perhaps be Elizabeth Norton, or she might be Frederick's sister. Elizabeth Ann is also with Elizabeth Jones in the 1861 census.
