Caroline (Norway) Chandler was a Pennsylvanian.

Carrie, daughter of Thomas Luke "Tom" Norway and Blanch Eugenia Chase,^[1][2] was born 10 April 1889 in Conewango Township, Warren County, Pennsylvania.^[1][2][3]

By 1900, eleven-year-old Carrie resided in Henry Township, Wood County, Ohio, with her parents Thomas L. (age 41, b. Wisconsin, oil pumper) and Blanche E. Norway (39, mother of four, all living), and her siblings Dora L. (18), Elmer Eugene (16) and Joseph Everett (2).^[3]

On 4 October 1909 in Bowling Green, Wood County, she married John Leslie Chandler,^[2] son of Benjamin Franklin Chandler and Nancy Maria Linn.^[2] They do not appear to have had children.

John S. (age 25, railroad telegrapher) and Carrie Chandler (21) settled at 219 Euclid Avenue in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio, before 1910.^[4] By 1935 they had purchased 208 East Center Street in West Mansfield, Bokescreek Township, Logan County, Ohio.^[5] J. L. (55, railroad agent operrator) and Carrie Chandler (51) remained there in 1940.^[5] The record indicates that each of them had completed eight years of formal education.^[5]

Carrie died 1 November 1972 in Clark County, Ohio, at age 83.^[6] She was buried at Green Lawn Cemetery in West Mansfield.^[7]
