Richard Nugent was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

Biography

Richard Nugent born about 1622, son of Christopher Nugent and Anne Macdonell.

Richard married Mary Nugent, daughter of Sir Thomas Nugent of Moyrath. ^[1]

1. Christopher
2. Thomas, Lord Chief Justice of the Court of King's Bench, was made Baron Nugent of Riveton, county Westmeath 3 Apr 1689, but the title being conferred after the king (James II) abdicated the English crown, is not acknowledged. Thomas Married in 1680 to Marianne, dau of Henry, Viscount Kingsland.^[2]

5. Joseph died a Captain in France
6. William married Alice Newcomen, dau of Sir Thomas Newcomen of Sutton, county Dublin
7. Mary b 1648 married in 1664 to Henry, 2nd Viscount Kingsland
8. Anne (Nugent) Talbot married 1st in 1681 to Lucas, 6th Viscount Dillon, married 2nd to Sir William Talbot of Cartown, Bart.
9. Alison married Henry Dowdall of Brownstown, county Meath
10. Elizabeth died young
11. Jane married in 1685 to Brigadier General Alexander M'Donnell of Dromersnaw, county Leitrim

Richard died in 1684. ^[3]
