She was baptised Mary Ann O'Hanlan on 13 Oct 1833, with godparents Peter Smith and Bridget Smith.[1] This was in the Catholic parish of St James in Potosi, Washington County, Missouri.[1]
Mary Ann was enumerated in her father Thomas' household in Harmony Township, Washington County, Missouri in the census of 04 Dec 1850: Thos O'Handlan, 55 year old farmer, with Mary, 55, John, 20, Sarah, 19, Mary A., 17, Catharine, 13, James, 65, and Ellen, 63.[2] Only the youngest two children, Mary Ann and Catharine, were born in Missouri; the rest of the family were all born in Ireland.[2]
She married James Mundy[3][4][5] at St. James[5] in Potosi, Washington County, Missouri on 03 Aug 1856.[4][5]
Mary Ann died 05 Sep 1895[3][4] at the age of 62.[3][4] She was buried the following day[3] at Saint James Cemetery,[3][4] in Potosi. She was survived by James until 1906 when he "received the sacraments of the dying with strong faith" and died of "debility caused by senility."[6]
James was buried on 08 Mar 1906 in the family plot with Mary Ann.[6]
