Biography

Elizabeth was born in Phoenixville, Chester, Pennsylvania, United States, on December 8, 1895. She was the daughter of Francis O'Rourke and Bridget Dorris. Both had emigrated from Ireland. She was enumerated in the 1900 census ^[1] residing with her parents and seven siblings at 203 Franklin Avenue, Phoenixville. She was one of five children living with her parents on High Street, Phoenixville in 1910.^[2] She was fourteen and a "Winder" in a Silk Mill.

Elizabeth married Robert James Bole in Philadelphia in 1919. The application for license to wed was dated October 30, 1919. ^[3] The marriage took place on November 12, 1919.^[4] It appears the couple had ten children. Elizabeth (listed as Bessie) and Robert appeared as boarders in the household of Harry and Nellie Morgan, 2601 24th Street, Philadelphia, in 1920.^[5] She was a "Typist" for a Scale Company, and he a "Clerk" for a Motor Company. They appeared in the 1930 census^[6] residing at 389 Lakeview Avenue, Upper Darby, Delaware, Pennsylvania. Four children, ages nine to three years old at residence. The family was living at 3600 Huey Avenue, Upper Darby in 1940.^[7] Eight children, ages nineteen to three at residence.

Robert passed away in 1968..Elizabeth passed away in Wynnewood, Montgomery, Pennsylvania, on February 24, 1984.^[8]
