Biography

William was born to Isaac and Anna Tompkins in Eastchester in 1695. In the 1698 census, Isaac is the second-named, and therefore by custom the second-born, of three children in that family.^[1]

William married, possibly to a woman named Jones, in about 1720.

William Tompkins and his wife had, in Eastchester:^[2]
