Roger is currently (20130726) identifying Seaxburh's husband's Cenwalh's ancestor (or perhaps not) Cerdic as the upper limit of Wessex management. Filiations which are probably legendary will be treated as real, with notes to that effect in the biographies of Cerdic's "descendants."

Daughter of KING ANNA,King of the East Angles and his first wife whose name is unknown. Seaxburh was the wife of Cenwealh,who the King of Wessex from 635 to 654. When he died , she became Queen for a year [1][2] When she became Queen , "William of Malmesbury records that she "levied new forces, preserved the old in their duty ruled her subjects with moderation and overawed her enemies"[3]
