Leroy Ogle

OGLE, Leroy Age 65 of Myrtle Creek, Oregon, passed away Thursday, July 2, 1998 at his home after a long illness. Leroy was born September 8, 1932 in Jumbo, Oklahoma, the son of the late Ernest and Mary (Brakes) Ogle. He had been a Douglas County area resident for most of his life. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving with the US Army. On July 4, 1983 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Kateley in Reno, Nevada. The Ogles lived in the Myrtle Creek area where Leroy worked for several years for an area lumber mill. He later worked with his family's horse logging business in area forests. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Ogle, four step-sons, Sandy (Betty) Kateley, Roseburg, Oregon, Randy (Marie) Kateley, Winston, Oregon, Tony (Denise)Kateley, Green, Oregon, Tim Kateley, Roseburg, three step-daughters, Kindra (John) Frazer, Reno, Nevada, Belinda (Ray) Dillard, Winston, Oregon, Goldie (Ray) Gann, Bandon, Oregon, 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a sister, Viola Larson, Brownsville, Texas. He was preceded in death by a brother, JT Ogle and a sister, Belva Martin. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July6, 1998 at the Myrtle Creek I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Rev. Vance Culpepper will officiate. The MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME, Myrtle Creek, is serving the family.
