Biography

Annie was born on 10 October 1879 and baptized on 23 November 1879 in First Lutheran Church, Lee, Lee, Illinois. ^[1] Alto Township, Lee, Illinois. She was the daughter of [[Vigleikson-4|Ola (Vigleikson) Oleson] and Elsa (Johannesdatter) Oleson.
In the 1900 census Anna (age 21) was the single daughter of Ole E Oleson in Alto Township, Lee, Illinois, United States.^[2]

When Annie was 22 she married Lars O Prestegaard on 23 January 1902 in Lee, Lee, Illinois.^[3]

In the 1910 census Anna (age 30) was the wife of Lewis O Prestegard in Alto, Lee, Illinois, United States.^[4]

In the 1940 census Annie (age 60) and Lewis were living with their son Ole Prestegaard and his family in Alto Township, Lee, Illinois, United States.^[5]

Annie died at the age of 91 on 18 January 1971 in Ottawa, LaSalle, Illinois and was buried on 21 January 1971 in Lee, Lee, Illinois..^[6][7]

   Mrs. Lars O. (Annie) Prestegaard, 91, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1971 at the Pleasant View Lutheran Home in Ottawa. She was born Oct. 10, 1879, at the farm home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole E. Oleson, in Stewart. She married Lars O. Prestegaard on Jan. 23, 1902. She was baptized and confirmed as a Lutheran and was a long time member of the First Lutheran Church in Lee. She is survived by two sons, Louis A. Prestegaard and Ole L. Prestegaard, both of rural Stewart: three grandchildren: three great-grandchildren: and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband in 1966; one son, Andrew, who died in infancy; her parents; and nine brothers. Both Mr. and Mrs. Prestegaard lived most of their lives in Lee. Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 21, 1971, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Lee with Rev. Richard Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, Jan 21, 1971 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Thorsen Funeral Home in Shabbona.
