Biography

WEST POINT - Cloyd Lamoyne Oleson passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012. He was born to Mabel and Henry R Oleson October 10, 1937 in Ogden, Utah. Cloyd graduated from Davis High School in 1955. He attended Weber State College, he studied automotive maintenance. He worked as an automotive machinist and then opened his own shop, Guaranteed Automotive which he operated until 2009. Cloyd has a brother, Wayne H Oleson of Centerville, UT; two step-sons, Dallas Peters, Bart Oleson and a grandson, Cloyd Scott Oleson, and three great-granddaughters which have been a big help during his battle with cancer and other related illnesses. Cloyd has lived in West Point most of his life caring for his parents. Cloyd was always a very generous person, and helped many with auto repairs. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West. Roy. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, West Point Cemetery.
