In 1835, Benjamin and his widow Eliza are mentioned in Sarah Osborn's will. Sarah Osborn does not mention her late husband or her relationship with Benjamin. She also mentions Benjamin's brother James S. Osborn, the widow Eliza's four children (Henry Judson, Samuel, Julia, and Benjamin). Eliza is alive at the time of the will. Sarah Osborn writes a codicil dated 26 May 1834 in which Eliza is now deceased. Her will was proved on 27 April 1835 in Fairfield.[2]
