Biography

Jane Osborne (1829-1877) was baptised on 18 October 1829 at St.Buryan and married John Williams on 23 January 1855 at St.Buryan. They lived at Creane, St.Buryan in 1861, where John 36 was a mortar mason journeyman living with Jane 31, Sarah Jane 5, John 4 all from St.Buryan, and nephew George B Osborne 3 from Madron. In 1871 John was a mortar mason journeyman at Crean’s, St.Buryan aged 46, living there with Jane 41, Sarah J 15, John 11 and a nephew George Berryman 13 a miller, all born at St.Buryan. Jane died on 9 July 1877 at Tresiddick Mills [MI at St.Buryan] [details from Brian Osborne of 1 Mimosa St. Doveton] John married secondly Ellen Sophia Rendle in 1878 in Falmouth district or Ellen Thomas in 1879 at Penance district. In 1881 John was living at the Tresidder Mills with wife Ellen 32 from Sancreed, a niece Sarah Osborne 12 from St.Buryan and a servant. He was a farmer of 4 acres and miller in 1881. In 1891 John 66 was a farmer and miller living at Tresidder Mills with Ellen 42. In 1901 John 78 was a retired miller living with Ellen S at Tredinney in St.Buryan. In 1911 Ellen Williams widow was living with her niece Dora Clemens in St.Buryan
