Lloyd was a member of the military, serving in World War Two, as a Major in the Army Air Corps, which was the parent of todays Air Force branch. He first entered as a Sergeant on 25 Nov 1940 in Boston, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. At this time Lloyd had 2 years of Highschool, while his occupation was a Mechanic/Repairman for aircraft.
While in the Heavy Bombardment Unit, Lloyds' plane was shot down over Germany, resulting in his becoming a Prison of War on 25 Feb 1944. German military sent Lloyd to Stalag Luft 1, Barth-Vogelsang, Prussia. it is uncertain just yet when he was returned to military control, or if he was liberated or repatriated.
Earlier on 31 Jul 1943, Lloyd had married Dorothy Alice McElroy in Walla Walla, Walla Walla County, Washington, United States.
Lloyd passed away in 15 Feb 1994, in Jacksonville, Duval County, Flordia, United States. He in interred in Jacksonville Memorial Gardens along side wife Dorothy Alice McElroy.
