Hans Peter Ostermann was born in 1759 as son of Jürgen Christian Ostermann and Anne Marlene Ostermann nee Studtmann of Wettenbostel. He worked as a shepherd. In 1798, himself already widowed, he married widow Anne Marie Schmidt nee von der Ohe, with whom he had one son.
Research Note
OFB Hanstedt I does not mention his first marriage, only that he was a widower at his wedding in 1798. Also, his death is not mentioned in OFB Hanstedt I.
