Mrs. Chamberlain was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Pacy [sic] and was born in West Jersey township. She was married to Sylvester Andrew Chamberlain, who preceded her in death in 1928. Three children were born to them, all of whom survive: Ethel, now Mrs. C. A. Thompson, and Ray, of West Jersey, and Ira, of Toulon. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary Moore, who is at Mary's nursing home in Galva. Her parents and a brother John and a sister Alice also preceded her in death.

Sarah Jane Pacey was born April 9, 1860, in West Jersey township, the daughter of Thomas and Jane Pacey. She died August 12, 1941, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Curtis Thompson, aged 61 years four months and three days. She grew to womanhood in West Jersey township and at an early age united with the West Jersey Methodist church in which she remained a devoted member. February 3, 1887, she was united in marriage to Sylvester Chamberlain. To their union were born Ray Milton, Ira Monroe and Ethel Mae (Mrs. Curtis Thompson), all of whom survive. Other survivors include one sister, Mrs. Mary Ann Morris, of Galva, and 10 grandchildren, besides a number of other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister Alice and a brother John.
