Biography

Edward Lea PALMER was born in 1818 and christened on 19 July 1818 in North Petherton, Somerset, England^[1]. His parents were Edward PALMER and Martha.

Sophia ELLIS and Edward Lea PALMER were married 1839 in Bridgwater, Somerset, England^[2].

Edward and Sophia PALMER, set sail aboard the ship, JOHN from London on 12 Sep 1839. The ship left the Downs on 20 Sep 1839 and sailed into Adelaide 5 Feb 1840^[3]. Aboard the same ship were other members of Sophia's family.

He passed away on 9 February 1891 in Woodville, South Australia, Australia^[4] and was buried at the Hindmarsh Cemetery, Hindmarsh, Charles Sturt City, South Australia, Australia^[5].
