According to several newspaper articles, Euphrosyne had a child (with her first husband) who died in infancy.
Mother’s age seems to have been transcribed wrong in the 1861 census. Elizabeth should have been in her mid-upper 40s at the time.
Euphrosyne was member #RSFM 65.
The Royal Society of Female Musicians was established in 1839 when women were not allowed into the Royal Society of Musicians. The two societies merged in 1866 and from that date women were no longer excluded.[11]
