Abel Parke was born in 1707 in Ballyloan, County Carlow, Ireland.[1] He emigrated with his family to Pennsylvania. His father leased 100 acres to him in the Great Valley.[2] He later opened the "Ship" tavern.[2] He died on 21 July 1757.[2]
