Biography
James was born around 1808 in Pilham, Lincolnshire, England.
He married Mary Hempsell in 1840.[1] In 1851 the family lived in Blyton, Lincolnshire.[2] By 1861 they had moved to Balkholme, Yorkshire.[3]
