Together with his parents, William (an infant) sailed from Plymouth, Devon, England on the "Scottish Hero" on 11th April 1886, and disembarked at Maryborough, Queensland, Australia on 3rd August 1886.^[3][4]

William George Parkes & Adeline Agnes Oxley were married at Crookwell, New South Wales, Australia on 11th November 1916 by Father Dennis O'Kennedy. Witnesses were Richard Charles Oxley & Clara Isobel Oxley.^[5]
