Marie Helene was born in 1886. She was the daughter of Felix Paul and Philomine Cournoyer. In the 1906 census Helen (age 20) was the single daughter of Felix Paul in Provencher, Steinbach, Hanover, Manitoba, Canada.^[1]

In 1908 Marie Helene Paul married Joseph Romain Joyal in Montcalm, Manitoba, Canada.^[2] In the 1911 census Ellene was the wife of Joseph R Joyal in Provencher, Steinbach, Hanover, Manitoba, Canada.^[3] In the 1926 census Helene (age 40) was the wife of Joseph Joyal in Port Nelson, Manitoba, Canada.^[4]

She passed away (aged 92) in The Pas, Manitoba, Canada in 1979.^[5] Helen was mentioned on a memorial in Lakeside Cemetery, The Pas, Flin Flon-Northwest Census Division, Manitoba, Canada with a death date of 12 January 1979.^[6]
