By the 1871 Census the seem to have returned to England, and are living with Emily's sisters in Patrick-Brompton, Yorkshire,Yorkshire North Riding, England. [3] They are still there in 1881. [4] By 1891, Emily is a widow, and now living in Hastings, Sussex, England. [5] She is still there in 1901. [6]
She died in 1904 at Hastings, Sussex, England.
