Florence Alina Pearce (married name Lay) was born around 1879 in Rosedale, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Elizabeth (Dove) Pearce and James Pearce.^{[citation needed]}

She married Charles Henry Lay in 1905 in Ballan, Victoria.^[1][2] Their children were:^{[citation needed]}
