Biography
A was born in 1878. She was the daughter of Gilbert Peck and Nancy Turner. From the Saint John Globe (August 13 1895):
- The following are the names of candidates who gained Class I and Class II at the Normal School, Fredericton: Hillsboro - Class I: Matilda Fillmore, Alma; Laura Peck, Hopewell; N. Lloyd Lodge, Hillsboro. - Class II: A. Grace McGorman, Hopewell; N. Tilley Steeves, Hopewell; Grace G. Steeves, Alma; Susie A. Daly, Harvey.
In Fundy Folklore, Mamie Steeves writes (p 25), "In 1905 [Laura] sailed as a missionary to India and died there at Vizianagram in 1912."
