Jane Penman was born in about 1848 and baptised 26 Sep 1848 as Jeanie to David Penman and Margaret Davidson in Auchterderran, Fife. [1]
She was enumerated in the 1851 Scotland living in Cluny Square, Kirkcaldy, Fife with her parents David 34, and Margaret 35, and siblings: Margaret 11, Lilias 8, and James 0. Living with them is Robert Lawson, 56. Her father was a coalminer and Cluny Square was a coal mining village. [2]
Jane married Robert Page, a plumber 2 Jan 1871 in Leslie, Fife.[3] Note: Bride's father should be David.
Jane died 10 Jan 1937, aged 88, at Warren Road Hospital, Guildford. Her home address was given as 68, Hare Lane, Farncombe, Godalming. She was buried on the 14th in Nightingale Cemetery, Godalming, in the unconsecrated section, near Robert.[4]
