Margaret was born in 1872[1] in Hull, Yorkshire, England, where she lived on Sewer Lane in 1881 with her parents, Henry and Ann.[2]
In 1888 Margaret married Samuel Lenney.[3] At the time of the 1901 census, the family lived in Hull and Samuel worked as a butcher's labourer.[4] Samuel died in 1907 at the age of 46.[5]
Margaret married Benjamin Hamer Hoyle in 1908; the family lived in Hull in 1911. Benjamin was a dock labourer.[6]
