Biographie (deutsch)
Hans Peper wurde auf Hof Nr. 17 als Sohn und Erbe von Goetke Peper geboren. Am 20. April 1609 übernahm er den elterlichen Hof von seinem Stiefvater Hein Tödter (Kaufsumme 150 Mark) und heiratete Ilse Steinbeck. Er starb 1627 (möglicherweise in Verbindung mit dem dänischen Überfall auf Garstedt), als sein Sohn Claus erst 17 Jahre alt war, weshalb der Hof von der Familie seiner Witwe, Familie Steinbeck, übernommen wurde.[1]
Biography
Hans Peper was born at farm no. 17 in Garstedt as son and heir of Goetke Peper. He took over the farm from his stepfather on 20 April 1609 and married Ilse Steinbeck. He died in 1627, possibly in connection with the Danish raid during the 30-Years War.
Research Note
His birth year is estimated as about 1580 based on family lore handed down to Familie Beckmann, also repeated at his GEDBAS profile by Sven Schlaphof.[2]
