Biography
John Perrie was born in 1846 in Sevenoaks, Kent, England to John William Perrie and Sarah (Allingham) Perrie. His birth was registered in Sevenoaks in the first quarter of the year.[1] John was christened in Sevenoaks on 10 Sep 1848.[2]
In 1851 John Perry (age 5, Scholar) lived at High Street Sevenoaks in Sevenoaks with his father John (45, Ostler), mother Sarah (45), and seven siblings: Caroline (16), Henry (13, Ostler's Boy), Sarah (11, Scholar), George (9, Scholar), Mary A (7, Scholar), Thomas (2), and Alfred (0).[3]
In 1861 John Perrie (age 14, Scholar) lived at High Street in Sevenoaks with his father John (55, Ostler), mother Sarah (55), and four siblings: Henry (23, Ostler), Mary Ann (17), Thomas (12, Scholar), and Alfred (10, Scholar).[4]
In 1871 John Perrie (age 22, Soldier & Driver) lived in Cheriton, Kent with the military.[5]
In 1881 John Perrie (age 34, Soldier & General Labourer) was a military prisoner in St Margaret & St John the Evangelist Westminster, London.[6]
John Perrie married Mary Attewell on 30 Aug 1884 in Sevenoaks.[7]
In 1901 John Perrie (age 55, General Labourer) lived in Sundridge, Kent with his daughter Mary (16).[8]
In 1911 John Perry (age 65, General Labour) lived in Sundridge with his daughter Mary Ann (25) and two other girls who are listed as his daughters: Beatrice (5) and Ellen (3) - most likely granddaughters, possibly Mary Ann's children.[9]
John Perrie passed away in Sevenoaks in 1928, aged 82 years.[10]
